Description
This is my final version of my Storm and Wolverine picture.I coloured this by hand with pencil and then a few minor touch ups with Photoshop.
This was inspired by Joe Madureira's work on the 90's X-men book.
This is one of my few pictures I am actually fairly satisfied with.

This is a really wonderful old-school drawing of Marvel Studios' X-Men. Seriously digging the sense of energy, tension of going through their mission, and kudos on getting the action poses down pat. 
Here are 2 tips from one artist to another: I have a Prismacolor Colorless Blender pencil to smooth everything out whenever I use my Prismacolor colored pencils (love using them a ton!), and maybe you could use a variety of different sized ink pens: Sakura Micron ink pens #08, #05, #01, and #005.

It could use some of those Joe Madureira thick outlines and underside line weights. Great drawing though.

Excellent! Arguably two of the more popular characters of the X-Men universe, and they've been recreated very well here.
Storm in particular looks like she went through a real kick-ass redesign, while Wolverine looks just as bad-ass as he always has been.
I reckon they're going headlong into battle with Magneto and his foes, ready to kick their asses all over the place.
Very well done piece, real pristine quality. Keep up the marvellous work.

I love the inking and coloring, it's full of movement and action. I'm not sure how I feel about the white background, even a gradient would spice this up nicely :3

I agree about the background. It's too stark and draws my eye away from the character. which are very well done btw, wolverine is perfect. The only other thing is storms waist is a bit too small. great job overall.

Simon, how can you only be fairly satisfied with this? It's fantastic. It looks like artwork straight out of my marvel universe encyclopedia. You should be very. proud of this. Your colors are wonderful, the anatomy is spot on, and the whole picture has a wonderful atmosphere of excitement about it. Good job buddy!

I knew someone would be able to pin down the exact issue this is from. It has a foil cover if I remember correctly. I just read it again a few days ago. very good likness to the original. Hopefully you are using this to learn advanced techniques from the pros. It is a good way to get better at your inks and pencils. Keep up the schooling and you're going to have some great pencils yourself one day.
