Description Well I just found the Flash submission entry thingy today, so I figured Hey why not put up my pride and joy?

Oh if anyone that might have actually read any of the other info, wants to know about the sequel.... well....

It's been changed. Yeah, but anyway, I'm thinking of what I'm going to do with it, I'm working on a top secret game right now though, which involves Robots Snowmen Bunnies and Beavers! All in chapter one!.

Yeah, once I finish it (if ever) I'll put it here too I gave out hints about it in my AIM profile if you ever look at it.
Actually, no one that reads this probably even cares... so whatever, that was off topic anyway.

This is The Arena, a classical turn based RPG. Fight Fights, earn money and experience, level up, buy equipment, fight for your freedom!
Here's the story: As the boy (currently un-named you are chased through the woods by the King's minions. They catch you and force you into a life of entertainment (as in they use your hardships as entertainment) so you just have to keep fighting untill you think you're strong enough to take on the big man himself, the King. Beating the King wins your freedom, and ends the game!

Enjoy

I played this game, and it's actually quite fun.

Weapon damage is too erratic. It's understandable at early levels, but I think the hits should be more consistent as your player levels up. Also, monsters become pushovers as you level up, I'd think there'd be tougher challengers, but then again, the king himself isn't too tough, so yeah. Kept me hooked for the few minutes it took me to finish though.

(It'd also be nice to have a save option so you can start from where you last where before you got pwned, as well as the ability to sell weapons and armor that have been used; then again, at later levels, that'd be pointless.)

In all, this game isn't bad, good for a quick fix. Once you get past the somewhat tough early levels, it's skill-spamming all the way.

(I had Fire LV 225 and pwned the king in one hit.)

By getting (JUST) your fire magic to "100" then you can beat the old man in 2 shots!!!!! lol. it should be much harder mind you.

i think u should try and make a save thing and also make monsters way powerfuller case wonce u get to lv 8 u can just keep buying skills and win no matter what but it a lot harder if u dont use skills and only use heal no items a wepon and fight the king like that also you could make it so hier lv moves use more power eg lv2 fire use 2 mana or somthing like that

this is a realy cool game i like it

that game rocks although my great way to kill the king of getting 97 fire making me hit 970's at a time ment he was owned but cool game maybe you could make weps hurt more and skills hurt less

Well, The skills are overpowered because of how I have them set up. Each level adds 10 damage to the skill, and there are elemental hits too, incase you didn't see any (Things like fire being stronger than ice and whatnot) They're quite hidden, but when you get one, it doubles the damage. Also, as far as weapons go, I tried to make everything as even as possible, but realistically, if you level up a skill to level 100 it's going to do more damage than a weapon. Anyway, thank you for the comment, I appreciate it.
