Where to start... well, my Reason for this post will be the final item presented. Β First, yes, I've been disjointed in what I post where, and my thought came to me on Tuesday, and its now Friday a bit before I go to work. Β Starting from the oldest I'm typing from the 20th page of comments, curious if anyone else had seen it, and realized I can't read them all because of that work thing, again.
Gods, you are such a wonderful writer/artist. Β "My Jealousy" led Anne to speak with Allison, and when she finished reading it she IM'ed Lisa, which leads us to seeing she Already bought a Birthday present Before "My Appreciation" uploaded. Β They are both on the path they want to be, where their hearts are taking them, yet...
They've been hurt, but are trying. Β Someone commented here about this being their first person to person meet in months??? Β Its been since Halloween, its barely been maybe 6 weeks, or so.
Oh, and my thought? Β I was looking through all the comments to see if anyone else mentioned it???
A nice BIG house... right next door to Allison.... is going to be sold. Β Maybe, if They are all Very lucky...

Not to rain on your parade, but in chapter 4, in the moment the three girls get in their big fight in the Crimson, Lisa does a flashforward: she shows a photo, taken years after the events of Sunstone, some years before her writing their story, and says: "This picture was taken during our apartment-warming party". It appears Lisa and Ally move out of the big house to an appartment. Probably because as they get older, and their relationship becomes more longterm, Allison realizes she has been spending too much money on toys and the house, and they down-size their life, so to speak, to better suit their current incomes. I actually kinda like this, because it's clear that even though Allison is rich, she is not unrealistically rich, like a certain Dom-billionaire from another story. I love that she is not in a position to "save" Lisa from poverty in a Princess marries Prince kinda old-school fairy-tale style, but that they are more regular middle-class (and Lisa lower middle-class, income-wise), so it makes it a more mature, and more relatable story.
I like the idea that as their relationship deepens, Allison becomes more trusting of both Lisa's love, and more trusting of her own worth, without the need for her huge toy-collection and huge house to prop up her self-confidence, instead opting to move to a more affordable, and in the end more intimate appartment for their little family. It's allright that they start in the big house, because they are young, and Allison has used her money to keep her own self-worth and self-confidence up, and it both impresses Lisa, and probably contributes to her infatuation, but as they grow older, and Lisa and Ally begin to truly love eachother like the mature adults they become, they have less need for childish things, and more need for an affordable, realistic home, where they can be adults together, and where their love can live more intimately, and not distracted by too much pomp. That is so much more satisfying as a lovestory, than that other story, where the Grey fellow is so rich that I'd fucking marry him, if I could!

Love the story, and re-reading while waiting for the next strip, and noticed 'nephew Bethany', Β and just wondering if it is a mistake, or is Bethany a Β unisex name, or is there a guy (to assume gender) who has a girls name (maybe cos parents really wanted a girl) and just rocks the name to say screw you gender comforming names!!?

Well, it's now been about 3 weeks since the last strip was posted and the natives are getting restless. The timing of Mr Sejic's postings constitutes what, in behavioral psychology circles, is known as a variable-interval reinforcement schedule. This is an extremely powerful way of increasing a target behavior, in this case the frequency of visits to the DA Sunstone site. As time goes on, at least for a while, this behavior will only increase,often nearly exponentially. I have a theory that Mr Sejic is preparing to drop several, if not all the remaining, chapter 5 strips at once. This would hugely reinforce subsequent visits to his site and be a great setup for the next series on Alan and Anne. Let's face it; it's a great reward. Congratulations to a terrific artist, story teller, and behavioral psychologist.
