Vision: I think that you went into this project with a very clear idea of exactly what you were aiming for, and from what I can tell it's going just about perfectly. You have a great low poly model that utilizes its textures smartly to add a lot of detail without taking up a lot of faces. This would be great as is for any number of games out there.
Originality: This is a fan character from what I gather, so I can't state much on the character design, but the project is well made and executed and it's not in some boring t-pose, it's on a flying skateboard-esque thing, which is pretty awesome. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> I think you present the information in an interesting way, and that's very important!
Technique: Looking at your 3D model you seem to have a pretty solid design. There are some unessary tris you could get rid of (for example, the bottom of the chest ridge comes together in four tris. Delete the two on each side and create a new quad there to reduce the pole from 8 edges to 6 and convert the tris to quads. This obviously isn't really a big deal since your toso won't flex like an organic chest would. For the textures, the only thing I would chance would be to add something to the hexagon joints. Right now you have them as flat grey objects, which isn't terrible since you don't see much of them. However, you have plenty of texture space to add something more interesting there. Maybe painting a 'screw' or gear shape there would give it some more flare.
Impact: Overall, great job. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> I think you have a great product that could be used in a game right away!

haha I haven't used Unity so far, but we did UDK in class. That was fun and really straight forward to learn!

Cool! If you got UDK pretty well, Unity may be even easier! Except the scripting. I think Kismet is way easier than the Unity Javascript. (Scripting in general is nonsense.)

Yeah, I have never touched scripting at all. lol

Yeah you don't get a whole lot of them. DA is more of a casual art collecting and sharing site than a serious formal place I think. Most people are watching 30-1000 artists and groups so it's time consuming to comment on everything let alone offer full critiques. But I try to take the time to do them now and then! lol

I may have to check it out, haha! I was afraid it would be only Japanese. And it seemed short (12 episodes?) from Wikipedia, which is great for my attention span!

Others have said what I could in critiques, so I'll just comment. Great job on the model. Looks very true to the source. I'm in the process of watching E7AO, and I'm starting to like it (I wasn't sure, at the beginning, if they'd pull it together with the original).
As far as the textures, I think you need less dark gradient on the board. The trapar wings look good, though.
Great work.
