Troutsnap's tummy looks a little round here. She's been eating a little too much.

Troutsnap and Mountainslide, one of my favorite ships <3 I just love these two and felt that the lyrics above fit them so well. They've both had difficult, hard times in their lives but they give each other's hearts a safe, happy place to call home. The last line really inspired me - they're both so red and bright and happy on the outside, like the burning flowers in the song. They stand out so much in the "black and white film" of life, and it's like there's something pulling them together.
This month I really wanted to start pushing myself art-wise and trying to improve, so I started by tacking something I usually avoid: large, full pieces. I'm so happy to share this piece with you guys, and while there are probably a ton of mistakes in it, it's my first time fully painting in a long time - almost a year I think? I tried my best and I'm really proud of how it turned out.
