You should make Mortal Kombat with all the different TF2 classes, each with their own fatality..

I like the sound of this team play mechanic. Particularly the dual uber.

Y'know what would be really awesome?
What if the whole of the notable Gmod community got together and made a collaboration that allowed Team Fighter 2 to be presented in a series of SFM videos as if it were a real game? People in the 'game' would submit their model/skin, a series of voice files (E.G, lines for encountering certain other characters, hit sounds, etc), and a brief description of how they'd want their fighting style to be. The master SFMmer in question could have a bunch of pre set animations for each character involved which could be used to determine a bunch of moves which could be used multiple times in a fight to give more of a gameplay feel.
That and just make it a game, which I'm sure everyone wants.

Thanks, but I'm sure everyone else was thinking it.
...But really though, could we make this a thing? That would be so cool.

With the Source Engine, I don't think so since the Source Engine was meant to be used for first-person shooters like TF2, Half-Life and Left 4 Dead even though that it is used for different types of games like DOTA 2, Alien Swarm and Vindictus. The only type of fighting game that used the source engine was Zeno Clash which had a first person view which is sad.
I think that if we are going to have a fighting game with the Gmod community in it, We have to use another gaming Engine like the Street Fighter Engine and somehow transport the Source models into it, Recoding so they can be used and a lot more which is pretty impossible since you must a huge company like Capcom or Nintendo or we somehow find a way to use the Source Engine as the Street Fighter Engine.

I know what you mean, but I think that with a lot of tweaking a third person fighter could work on the Source engine. It would be so much easier with all the maps and models too.
But that's just a dream really, a video project may be as close as we get.

The only thing I can think of is a classic game engine that many 2d games modified to become their own. It's called MUGEN, it looks like this: [link] [link] [link]
The community there is one huge e-penis war of who can make the best, most kick-ass or most broken character. But this could very well be the key to making this as real as it can sensibly get.
How to sprite them though...?
