Redo of an old picture I did in June of last year. ([link] ) It got a ridiculous amount of views and favorites so I figured I'd redo it so see how I've improved.

I'm actually decently happy with how it came out. I referenced quite a bit on both how the silvery tabby pattern would look and the anatomy. I think it shows. My pictures always look 20x better when I reference. (My cat anatomy needs some work again, anyway.) And I'm pretty happy with the shading. Though I do feel like I could have done more with the trees and blossoms. Maybe added a few petals falling down or a tree trunk coming from the big one. I didn't think to until it was too late, though. I'm also kinda iffy on the perspective I drew the cat in, I don't think it matches the rest of the image properly, and the arch in the back looks a little funny.

I think I've improved quite a bit from almost a year. Certainly more than I ever thought I would. I'm really glad I stopped drawing those anime-style cats. X'D But I still say this is way bright for me.

The character is a Warriors OC of mine named Breezewhisker. I haven't drawn her in forever. I also used Photoshop Elements 8.0 and it took about 2-2 1/2 hours.

I draw too many cats. Argh. XP

EDIT: Fixed some things, like adding branches and making the petals look better.
