I TAKE ALL CREDIT FOR INTRODUCING THIS MEDIUM TO YOU.
As sad as this task is suppose to be, plastic canvis Wren is so friggen adorable and you should unchain her from the table and give her a house to live in instead.

Yes I had a feeling this would require some explanation. I had a lot of fun working on it though and I'm super proud of it.

Woah! That's a pretty unique way to show fear! The other people are flat so it really sells the idea that Wren sees them less as humans and more as obstacles :0

Thanks! I figured fear can be a bit more abstract, so it was the best task to use this idea for. I feel like, depending on your history, tables can feel very formal and scary. There are a lot of traditions and customs around eating together, for any culture.

This looks amazing! Your crafting work looks lovely.
I like how only Wren is the detailed and coloured humanoid, it adds more to the concept.

Aww, thanks! I wanted to make her state of mind as clear as possible. Other people become monsters when she's scared like this.

Aw wow this is so cool! And the symbolism comes through really well! She definitely looks chained down to the table and like shes trying to lean away from it all. Seriously cool!

Thanks so much! I ended up having more freedom with the pose then I thought I would. By the time I stitched Wren together (there's a front and back half to her) the inside was so full of knots and ends and yarn running this way and that, that I knew I wouldn't be able to get another thread into it. So I couldn't stitch her feet to the floor like I'd been planning. It ended up being a positive.

Oh, thank you. One nice thing about plastic canvas for me is I can work on it more or less for hours on end and not have any trouble. I need breaks much more often when I'm drawing.
