I took a peek at your gallery, your art looks really good! I think it's great that you can do realistic stuff so well, because that's something I have a hard time drawing (or have a hard time trying to get myself to draw). I find it easier to draw exaggerations of real life, but you're capable of capturing what is real. We all have our own style.

A lot of what I draw comes from 15-18 years of careful observation of various styles in cartooning, and I'm only just now starting to find comfort in my own style. I'm still trying to grasp drawing realism, though, so who's to say my style might improve or change by next year?

thank you so much for taking the time to look! im very glad that you liked it and it means a lot that you think its good! and indeed i have been trying to find my own style for awhile now but i always hate how it turns out its easier to just "copy" things and have a reference than to get frustrated trying to put my ideas on paper (i dont actually copy anything or trace) but i really love manga and anime too so i wanted to get good at it but still all i can do is "copy" like drawing characters from an anime if i have a reference i can draw it exactly as i see it but its had not being able to do anything without reference i'm envious that you've found a grove that makes you happy (:

Well never stop trying to find your own "groove", and maybe soon you'll find a style you like and can make your own. Using these references and practicing other styles will help with that. I've gone through so many anime, manga, and other styles trying to find my own, so practice does make perfect (or a degree of perfection).
