He's a twelve year old child genius, who due to a series of family problems when he was younger, and just sort of his nature, has emotionally shut himself off from everyone. His own advanced intelligence tends to really distance him from his peers and even adults too, so he's turned out a total loner, who spends way more time in his own head than is healthy. He's a sternly logic-driven, quiet-spoken, socially inept insomniac with an under-eating disorder... and on top of that, has recently developed very serious feelings for a troubled nineteen year old who's currently staying with Jacinto and his father until he can get back on his feet. The feelings are really confusing and actually horrifying for him, and he feels horribly guilty about them, so he spends most of that time in his head these days worrying for the young man's sake and trying to struggle through his own feelings.
