with normal lightning my longest render was appr. 40 min... soo its the specific kind of lightning i used in this picture that boosts the render time into space...
i will check your gallery now...

the concept is pretty cool, but I'm surprised that after 22 hours of rendering the outcome is so grainy...

That is because i didnt boost the sampling enough, and didnt want to wait another 35-40 hours for another render....

holy shit! why 27 hours, thats abit adnormal, the longest ive had is 31 minuts. what there only can be about 4Million polys there? + texture rending time it'll and volumetric effects.... mmm.

it took so long because i used indirect illumination... with some spiffed up samples

indirect illumination...? mm never heard of it. Well if the sceane is too big for me i awways render to a texture. unfortunatly reflections don't work.
