Hmmm....
Well, I do think that it is a very beautiful piece. The clouds in the background have a great combination of colors and the sparkling metallic city looks great. But there's a couple things holding it back in my opinion...
1) Because you're zoomed out so much there are some issues caused by the game. The poles in the water seem to rise out of nowhere and the texture in the bay area seems pretty repetitive. To be honest though, I'm surprised there weren't more, so that's pretty minor.
2) More of a problem (again, IMHO) is that the city seems way too calm. If this was a pre-war shot I could accept that but as you can see some burning buildings... the bright colors and lack of combat really throw it off. I think this could be easily remedied if you could somehow have a shot of, say, a Banshee shooting down a Falcon. That would look great.
3) This is probably personal but the building in the foreground...? The one that curves more than all the rest? It just seems really.. fat. A fat, somewhat ugly building. It really contrasts with the utopia in the background.
So... overall, I think you did really good with what you had to work with. Issue #2 is what really bugs me. Again, wonderful colors and composure!
Vision: Hopefully I've got the categories right. This is the one I'm docking for the lack of combat. But the colors and composition make up for it.
Originality: Great. It's hard to get panoramas like this.
Technique: Flawless photostiching, and I think maybe some post-corrections to color?
Impact: Because of the tranquil nature I'm docking a couple points but the colors make an impression. Not your average Halo.
First critique... hope it's well-received! On the bright side, I almost tripled the word limit e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

If you like this panorama, I also placed it into my photosynth account: [link]
Hit play and watch in Full screen. It isn't a full 360ΒΊ sphere though. That one is Countdown 360ΒΊ.
