Very nice. I like the font choice and the choppy shorelines.
Consider using separate cloud layers for the ocean and the land, and layering your border on top of the cloud layers. As it is, it looks like there's a layer of cloud over the whole map (and the frame), which doesn't look unattractive, but does seem a little odd.

Thanks! I will take that under consideration next time. I was torn at showing any cloud at all for the ocean. I can always make a solid blue too.

You can sidestep the issue with a mask that blocks everything but the water, applied to your water layer. You can use this to create a "land glow" effect to show shallow water areas, too.

I've done things like that with past maps and been unhappy. I almost prefer a less realistic look to a map. I'm thinking i'm going to start playing around with some more hand-drawn looking maps in the future. I lack a tablet or a scanner to do that, though, since I moved.
The original frame was just cloud. I added in the gold color. It actually looked much better in Photoshop.
