Excited to be able to share the commission I've been chipping away at this month! This is Amalyth the Half Dragon. She is strong, proud, fierce and doesn't shy away from a fight. Her strength and prowess often make her look down on others but experiences in her life have taught her to be more empathetic. In addition to her dragon like features she also wields 2 blades, a long sword, and a guan dao.

Knowing that this character was proud it was pretty clear I needed to do a low angle where she could look as heroic as possible. I've been really inspired by artwork lately where the shadow side of things start to lose detail. I made a conscious effort to try to force myself to allow things in shadow to just be silhouettes. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
