Description We found this tom cat wandering in our garden about a month and a half ago. I captured him and took him to the vet to be neutered, have his injuries treated and a million ticks and knots in his fur removed. Now we've sort of adopted him... we already have 5 cats I named him Skotti because I found out that in Icelandic it means a White (horse) with a Dark Tail or also a ghost. Well, Skotti has a pitch black tail and appeared out of nowhere like a ghost, so this suits him fine!

Yes... he *was*. We rescued him; very dirty and ragged and flea riddled; took him to our vet to have him neutered and bathed etc etc and one week later he got run over. I still cry over Skotti or little white angel I truly miss him still, even though we spent so little time together.

Thank you for ing this. It makes his memory live on.

And even worse was that I printed and framed an image of Skotti, and it was destroyed by a leak from the roof that ran down the wall and got into the frame... doubley distressing to see the beloved face smeared with dirty water marks. It still gets me swamped up with sadness and tears just thinking about him

It's quite surprising what an immense impact such a short stay with us had on my life.

No, I did not reprint it. I can't find the strength in me to do that. It makes me so very sad...
It was in a beautiful white frame and looked so lovely

How a animal (or person) can touch our hearts in such a short time..... it always amzes me anew, some people never really ''touch me''.. but others I love from the start.... Im a real people person though.. and way too emotional (for my own good)

Maybe God needed a new kitty guardian angel for someone. I had a beautiful Persian/Siamese that got hit by a car and I found him. I cried over that for years. He was the best cat. He had such a loving personality. I miss him terribly. That was back in 1991. His name was Minnow. He had long black and white hair and the prettiest gold eyes. (long story as to why he was outside).
I've added you to my friend's list. I really enjoy communicating with you.

It's heartwrenchingly soul destroying to lose a beloved pet.

Nice 2 meet U 2. Yes, it tears your heart out when a pet dies. I thought I'd never recover. I said I'd never have another cat again. I've had 4 since then.

Yes - it's so terrible. My husband, before we met, lost two cats within a month of each other, bawled his eyes out and swore not to ever have a cat again. And here with are now with SIX

I sincerely want to thank you for this comment - you know, Skotti lies buried in our garden and I took this photo some months ago. I was very surprised to see it here in my messages coming up as a favourite, and I truly do appreciate you choosing it and visiting my gallery.

Many thanks (and I still get tearful about Skotti)

AWEE!!!! no... I'm kinda upset now to know that your beautiful cat is not with you anymore. I know just how hard and aweful it is to loose such a precious member of the family. I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm sure he/or she, was a true blessing in your life!

I hope your week is going well!

What a wonderful story of Skotti's rescue! I am so glad he has you to take care of him. I have a feeling he wants for nothing now! BTW, I have five cats also!

This is very sad; I don't know whether in the meantime you read the rest of the story, but Skotti was knocked down by a car only five or six days later. He is buried in our back garden - I cried and cried literally for days and even now the wound is still raw.

I still miss him.

I thank you for all your very kind comments and the s!

SADLY this little vulnerable angel has gone to heaven all too early. Knocked down in the street.... We have had to bury him. I am still crying.
