Ooh, a chance for OC lore!
So basically, in the world of these gals (Phoebe, Ruby, Stella etc.) magical creatures and weird kinds of people are pretty commonplace, but thatβs because long ago there were people who created them! Scientist mage type people took humanoid and Animal/non-humanoid traits and fused them into singular beings. Those Hybrids become more and more human over time tho due to mating and passing of genes with other humans. So thatβs why Phoebe looks mostly human with bee things like wings and a stinger, but why Stella is pretty much an anthropomorphic bat. Stella is a freshly made Hybrid; a Homunculus.
TL;DR, Magic bullshit from long ago but domesticated and now fun hybrid people exist and itβs fun ^-^
