Gemma Deal - a friend from facebook, I used one of her photos with her permission. I made her into witchblade. Ish she has a witchblade in watch form.Also long hair.Used a photo and drew over it. Firstly doing the lines - i also roughly did the background and then rubbed it out in poarts so the pictures shows through underneath.
I'm trying to get details about Who took it.

Really?! the background >_< i was sorta lazy with that i did block airbrushing on the walls and rubbed it out with a low opacity [sp?] rubber. and then roughly sketched the outlines xD i wasn't going to have one but then decided she looked a bit squiff without one - as the perspective of the photo and such.

might be why I like it so much in this pic, because without it I do think it would be a little funky to look at due to the whole perspective thing as you say. Good choice on leaving it in ^_^
but yeah I just really like the way that her lines are more precise and defined whereas the backgrounds is more.. shaky? yeah shaky :3 it helps make her pop without changing the fact that you are using a dark outline for the piece, so like if you hadn't used the lines for the background it wouldn't match her as well and might throw off the picture.

The sketch lines over photo backdrop is really nifty. Shading on the character is top notch too.

I wasnt so sure myself - but im happy you like it. I wasnt going to put a background in at all and just to the lines of the model but because of the angle she looks squiff without the ground showing you that she actually isnt xD
