This sort of reminds me of the imperial chapels from the The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. The textures, lighting, and reflections are all well proportioned, giving the pic a more lifelike appearance even in such a simple (but well designed) setting. The liquid pouring from the bowl appears to be landing on the stage or altar in the background, even though the character itself looks like its floating in the middle of the aisle between the benches.
