Lovely jubbly dave, I really like long exposure moon shots - they have a very surreal, sci-fi feel to them. Neat trick that one, using the car headlights!

Great effect. the light is greatly captured and glows quite elegantly off the ground and the mist around the mountain. Great work

That's what I meant. The light naturally created the effect.

did you paint the foreground with a torch or headlights maybe? Looks unordinately light and beautiful.

Yeah.. I had the car lights on and stood on the side of road infront of it so the grass did catch the light!

I haven't worked out how to use it except by the seat of my pants.. any fav settings from you?

thephotoshot In reply to Sun-Seeker [2007-06-07 22:47:57 +0000 UTC]
Well... to be honest, I really don't know how to operate it properly...
However, I was told some tricks:
1 - Open the image on neat image
2 - select on "device noise profile" the "auto profile with calibration target" box. (if it doesn't work, use "auto profile" instead)
3 - Then go to the third section and on "filter preset" chDepois disso vou ao 3ΒΊ separador e no "filter preset" chose "remove all noise"
Hope it helps.

these a sense of paradox in this photo- the moon comes across a bit like a sun- but the starts contradict this idea creating a dissonance in the viewer's perception- excellent shot to wake ones perceptions up from complacency

I probably could have stopped down a bit and increased the xposure.. to cold to experiment!
