cokin filters are class!

you place them on a holder in front of your camera and they add different affects to the image you are about to take. i used them when i done alot of darkroom photography; i had a yellow, orange and red filter. (it's basically just a square bit of plastic with the colour on it.) those 3 colours basically just add more contrast to the shot. for example i used a red filter for this shot: [link] however, if you use the filters with a digital camera, they will basically just "coat" the image with whatever colour you use. but they can turn out interesting!

you can get different filters to add things to your image such as fog or rainbows or sunsets etc.

you can buy cokin filters really cheap off any photography website or of the cokin website or ebay etc.

hope that helped!
