How in the world do you get that kind of papery texture to both the color, background and the lineart? I find it so intriguing how smooth everything about this is, yet it still maintains that paper texture to all parts. Would you mind telling me how you go about creating that paper texture?

I can't quite remember how I made the background texture, but you could probably get something similar by adding noise to the image. The textures on the parts colored in were from a soft brush I have with a grainy texture. The brush it's self comes from this brushpack, but there are quite a few brushes from this pack that I enjoy using!

Yours is a very great style, sketches rich with artistic potential. So clean, but pleasurably messy-- So much fun to look at. 
These two look like they are having fun, very playful posing. Is it meant to be playful fun or playful fighting, or just fighting? Or even suggestive? I can't really tell, but I really like it anyway. ^^ Beautiful designs the both of them, and colours that stand out, but are also not way out there if that makes any sense. The cool blues of Bluejay and the earthy tones that Kest has. Did I get the two's names right? Either way, very good colours.

They are having playful fun/fighting, but partway through the drawing I had to re position one of the legs because I suddenly realized the pose could have even more so been interpreted as suggestive, whoops :'D

Thank you! I actually used a different brush than my usual with this line work, but it was just a pretty basic hard round brush with pressure sensitized opacity.

Yeah, for size there isn't really, but for opacity there was. Just wasn't too noticeable in the sketch.
