The process at the beggining of step 7) between the first nd 2nd substep is the most important point on all this nd all your wrote is "now i clone stamped the nebula more, darkened some sports as well." nah mate doesn t work like that...make it useful, or leave it ffs.

Ok, Thanks for this. In the end I put the sun in the middle. Feathering was not doing anything, even if I set it to 100px.

Sorry to bother you again, but the nebula is real trouble for me. Basicly, I have done what you said and it worked pretty well. Problem is, when I paste it into the actual sig it looks awful. It doesnt blend in, the outline is very obvious compared to the space background. When I look at yours, it fades into the space but mine is just a distinct cloud right in the middle. Any advice?

Sunjo In reply to MitchPhotoshop [2011-06-05 15:12:00 +0000 UTC]
Before you move the nebula into the sig, make sure you feather your nebula selection. (right click inside selection>feather), if it's still not blending, feather it more.

When I put my cloud stocks to Overlay, I cant even see them. What am I doing wrong?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Sunjo In reply to MitchPhotoshop [2011-06-05 14:28:48 +0000 UTC]
You're either using too many stocks, or your stocks are too dark. If all else fails just set them to normal and make them all 40% opacity except the bottom-most layer.

Hey, you know the part where it says about going into blending options with the colour overlay on the black planet, for some reason, the levels make it stay just like a dark blue background without 'stars'.
Any idea how to fix it?

Pootang97 In reply to Pootang97 [2011-02-27 14:20:53 +0000 UTC]
Nevermind, fixed it. Just changed the noise to monochrome.

Great tutorial! Thank you for making it!
Would you have any tips for making more earthly styled planets? (IE, with land/cloud/sea masses, not just plain rock textures?) I know it would mostly just be using a different texture for the first steps, but would you have any suggestions on specific kinds of textures that would be best?

Br0kenHeartzZ In reply to Sunjo [2010-12-06 19:19:09 +0000 UTC]
See thats where there is a problem, because when he told me to do The Blending options it wouldn't let me on the 'Basckground' Layer cos it was locked :s

Sunjo In reply to Br0kenHeartzZ [2010-12-06 19:21:22 +0000 UTC]
It shouldn't be locked on a new document. Just click the lock icon on the layers panel to unlock it.. or create a new layer and repeat the step.
