Sadly I wasn't able to buy my girl anything material for Christmas (yet), but at least I was able to spend it (AND SOON NEW YEAR'S!!) with her! At least I managed to draw her this, even if it is a little late. We've just been so busy and also pretty ill, but we've been having such a wonderful time together as we always do ;u;

This was originally going to be a standard Winter-y pic with a blue-grey sky and snow, but honestly I was having a real struggle with it (especially the shading which ended up looking really drab and dull) so I totally revised it and went for a warm bokeh-style background with a mix of gold and brown instead. Personally I am super pleased with this - ESPECIALLY since I drew the entire thing with Hazel's recently broken tablet. Broken as in the frayed wire won't connect to the laptop properly so I needed to continuously press it down with one finger, meaning I only had one hand. Oh, and I'm also REALLY not used to drawing on a laptop, not without a desk. It's been so uncomfortable and tricky, so ya damn right I'm gonna boast! hOW DID I EVEN MANAGE THIS I HAVE NO IDEA HHHH
oh btw if it wasn't obvious, Sharker's supposed to be wearing fingerless gloves on her front paws x'D The dark green around her toes aren't markings!!

Happy Christmas Hazel!! I am so glad we got to spend it together, because it truly has been so special - even though we both seem to keep getting ill haha. Honestly, you have made 2017 everything I never thought it could be and nothing I ever would've expected. It seemed like any old year until you came along like a beam of light, sunshine and hope, bringing so much new meaning to my life. You are so amazing, and so perfect for me in every way imaginable and in every way I never even thought possible. I could honestly spend an eternity trying to describe how much you mean to me and attempt to list all the reasons I love you, but even that wouldn't be enough. You deserve the world, and I'd give it to you if I could. Thank you for seeing past my demons and sharing yours with me so we can fight them off together. Thank you for staying by my side and taking such good care of me and letting me do the same for you. Thank you for making me feel more loved, needed, wanted and appreciated more than I ever have in my entire life. You're so beautiful, kind, compassionate, hilarious, thoughtful, smart, adorable as all hell, sexy, weird, ridiculous, loving, and a constant source of happiness and strength for me. I honest to god don't know what I'd do without you, and I never plan on finding out. I want to spend the rest of our lives being weird as fuck together, and it makes me so happy that you want the same. I love you more than anything, darling. Thanks for being the best thing that's ever happened to me. <3
