DUNCAN: Great happiness!

---

I don't know about anybody else who's read this play, but I found Duncan gay-ly hilarious.

So, I love Macbeth. It's the only Shakespeare play I've read so far, but it is absolutely brilliant and so unintentionally hilarious, in my opinion. While I was reading it, I kept making little notes in my head about how to make it funny. And so we have Macbeth, Sunni Style.

These are only the first two scenes, but I've got at least the first act scripted out. Yay. Hopefully these will be funny for those who've read the play, and for those who haven't... well... this is a simplified version for ya.

It definitely has it's funny moments. One of the lines that makes me laugh every time is when Macbeth, Macduff, Lennox, and Malcolm are talking in front of the castle the morning after Duncan's murder. Lennox is talking about how the wind was blowing harshly and there were death screams in the air and all that and Macbeth (who has of course just washed all the blood off himself) simply says "'Twas a rough night."

Aha, I have read this play and I will admit while perhaps not one of Shakespeare's "best" it is one of my favorites. Your Duncan is utterly awesome.

Macbeth is absolutely one of my favorites. We read it in my high school senior English class. I got to be Lady Macbeth AND one of the witches during the reading since I was one of three girls in my class. It was full of awesome and win.

OH MY GOD! MACBETH!!!

I played Lady Macbeth and I love her evilness...especially where she talks about killing babies and calling Macbeth a wuss. And Macbeth is "Yeah. Uh-huh. *not listening*"

Well, The Lion King is based off one Shakespeare play (I think it's King Richard), but it wouldn't surprise me if they put other references in the movie.

Well, that was a very long reply. Thank you!
