Description
Karen had never had any trouble commuting to work. After all, she had been blind since birth and was very confident in her ability to get around. So confident in fact, that she usually listened to her mails on the way to the office. Maybe if she hadn’t, she could have heard bystanders warning her. Or maybe it was just bad luck. In any case, she suddenly found her life turned upside down, quite literally, as she was lying on the floor, completely dazed. As it turned out, that was just the effect of a concussion and would fade within a few days. What didn’t fade though, was the damage to her spine, right at Th 10 level, which rendered her a complete paraplegic from the waist down. Her days using a cane were pretty much over, being confined to a wheelchair for life.
She did like her new dog though.
