Dude you are just insanely good. o.O How many projects did you do with sculpture before you started getting to this level. I play with sculpey...yeah, even when I'm just trying to do an anime face which is simplified it just turns out horrible. XP Plus your sculpting these things at a smaller scale, which is even harder. O.o

I've sculpted almost 40 portraits now, in the past 5-6 years.
My first 10 looked pretty horrible, and I've improved every sculpt. Therefore I think practice is definitely essential. Keep playing with it, you'll get the hang of it!
Noses and ears used to bug me so much when I had to sculpt them!

Those are super bad ass. What tools do you use to get that amount of detail on something so small?

Thanks!
Well I have some dental tools I picked up from my aunt's office,
and Kemper (a ceramic/sculpture tool company?) also makes some really nice tools for this miniature scale. I'm not gonna lie though, I kind of hate the scale now, haha, I want to sculpt 1:3 or 1:4

I stunned and elated by the level of detail and accuracy achieve at such a tight and unforgiving scale!! Keep it up!!

its a clay made by Sculpey (a company) the "gray firm" version is best for smaller work because it is firmer.

you should definitely give it a try! my first self-portrait sculpt ended up looking like michael jordan hahaha

Wow! Nice study of a younger and older Bruce Willis. It's like they are meeting Futurama style.

Wow... this is amazing!
Look at all those details!

Really great job...

It's about 2.5 inches, (fits on those 12" GI-Joe action figures)

Thank you
