Description
Greedo is my second favorite Star Wars alien (Ackbar reigns supreme), but of course is my first favorite Rodian. Thing is, tho, Greedo appears in the Prequels as a young tyke, then again as a nefarious doer of ill in The Clone Wars, which remain canon. That is a long span of time before his appearance in A New Hope.
My point being Greedo has seen some shit.
Thus by his final meeting with Han Solo in that fateful cantina confrontation, I imagine him to be quite old and haggard, possibly past his prime and looking to finish that “one last job.” Yet Han suffers no fools and decidedly lays that cowboy down with an Old West under-table shot of some controversy. That Han shot first isn't up for debate, but moreso the moral ambiguity of such a tactic. Greedo is no prince in Clone Wars, and we’ve yet to learn of his sour history with Han Solo, tho if we’re lucky he’ll be a prominent antagonist in Solo’s upcoming theatrical adventure. Perhaps in that telling we’ll see him cemented as a right bastard who ultimately gets what’s coming to him. Until then he remains another figure in Star Wars mythos who receives a most inglorious end.
