Description
Here's the so-called Ultimate Life Form, Shadow! Shadow is a semi-clone of Sonic, but more unique. He's the same speed as Sonic, as well as the same height and weight. Shadow also has no major gimmick.

ALTERNATE COLORS/COSTUMES:

Shadow's alternate colors reference Gerald Robotnik, Maria, Black Doom, colors based on his Super form, a blue color that references Sonic, Rouge and Omega.

MOVESET:

Neutral-B - Drop Kick: This move is very similar to Sonic's neutral special. The only difference is that after pressing B, Shadow will disappear temporarily and then teleport to the nearest opponent and do a homing attack.

Side-B - Flame Ring: This move is an exact copy of Sonic's side special, but the move has fire properties.

Up-B - Chaos Control: This move is a teleportation recovery. There is no hurtbox on the attack, much like Mewtwo's up special.

Down-B - Chaos Boost: This move boosts all of Shadow's stats for 10 seconds. There will also be a timer for this move next to his HUD icon.

Final Smash - Chaos Blast: Shadow will transform into his super form and unleash a massive explosion of energy, with the move behaving like the Smart Bomb icon.

VICTORY ANIMATIONS/TAUNTS:

Shadow's entrance animation shows him using Chaos Control to teleport into battle. Shadow's up-taunt will show him crossing his arms and saying "This is for you, Maria.". Shadow's side-taunt shows him sticking a green Chaos Emerald up into the air with his left hand. Shadow's down-taunt shows him throw a green Chaos Emerald up into the air.

Shadow's first victory animation shows him doing the pose he does when you complete a level as Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2. Shadow's second victory animation shows him crossing his arms and then looking at the camera. Shadow's final victory animation shows him teleporting around, and then striking a pose. If Shadow loses, he will be crossing his arms instead of clapping.

REVEAL TRAILER:

The CG section of the trailer takes place in an abandoned factory, with Zero Suit Samus and Pikachu finding him inside of a test tube. As Samus goes to try and awaken Shadow, there is an explosion from inside of the test tube, knocking out Samus and Pikachu. Shadow then awakens and crosses his arms. His splash screen then appears, and Shadow's tagline says "Shadow Lives & Learns!". Gameplay of Shadow is then shown and after that, the trailer ends with the Smash Ultimate logo animation playing.

PALUTENA'S GUIDANCE:

PIT: It's Shadow!

PALUTENA: He was created by a scientist named Dr. Gerald Robotnik.

VIRIDI: I will NEVER forgive these humans!

PIT: Yeah, I know. This guy doesn't seem natural. I mean, he can teleport around! Lady Palutena, how does he do that?

PALUTENA: Shadow uses a green Chaos Emerald for certain moves, Pit.

VIRIDI: This guy's giving me the creeps. Pit, take care of him!
