Description My Spider-Man redesign for Project Rooftop's ([link] ) Spider-Man Webhead 2.0 contest. This character is not an easy one to redesign. How do you top an already perfect look? Or even do something that doesn't look like one of the half-million other costumes Spider-Man has worn through the years?

Not a totally original idea but his hands and feet are exposed to provide better gripping of surfaces while wall-crawling. I figure if he's got all these tiny little spikes/hairs/whatever that give him that kind of grip then he's not leaving behind recognizable fingerprints anyway.

Don't like the lighter spider nets, the rest is atypically wonderful!

were you inspired by spidey 2099's suit? this suit doesn't have visible eye lenses, like the 2099 suit.

I really wasn't thinking about that when I designed the eyes, I was just drawing lots of different looks for the mask and liked these ones the best. Afterwards I noticed that they look very much like the 2099 design. Perhaps it was subconscious.
