Description
Made the mecha from Little Witch Academia (ep18). It was a nice nod to TTGL and other anime. Took about 2 months, since I was learning new techniques, combining both Sub-D topology (for curvy areas) and poly-modelling. Also learnt Substance painter which was pretty neat, so the renders are done in Iray. Was pretty difficult trying to find a way to translate the 2D art into a 3D model due to inconsistencies within the animation. I added more details to make it appear more grounded and cinematic.
