Finished drawing.Done in Prismacolours on A3.
I'd run out of inspiration for drawing, so I raided our DVD cupboard and found a good shot of Mr Bean on the DVD cover. It was a great opportunity to try out my new prismacolours.
The flesh tones are made up of four base pencils. As you can see in the WIP shots, the base colour was Goldenrod. Add to this some magenta for the redder areas, dark umber for shading, and Rose salmon for final toning and blending. There's also bits of Burnt ochre and light umber for some of the milder shading and stubble areas.
The tweed jacket was fun too, uisng Ginger root and light umber for the base colours, and then specks of red, yellow and blue.

Great! You really captured his character. I'm not so sure about the skin tones myself. They seem a big dark but I also haven't seen a picture of him in quite some time. I am so very impressed with this drawing. It is really outstanding!!!

Thanks for the comment. The skins tones were a lot of work to get right - the reference image was so orange and super saturated, and I've gone with the same look. I think the scan might have saturated the colours a little more too. Perhaps not totally natural looking, but I do like the result.
