Thank you, and no i did this for practice as i really loved the image, It was traded later for art supplies.
This was a promo print that was done to promote the game before it came out here in Las Vegas.
I should have a side by side in my gallery if you want to see the pencils.

The Darksiders concept art is so insane and the comic was no different. After seeing this, though, I'm curious about something. What happens if you make a mistake while you're inking?

SurfTiki In reply to EnvyMachinery [2013-04-15 04:32:21 +0000 UTC]
Awe man i havent seen the comic yet, the dang thing is hard to find.
As for inking i either fix a small mistake with white paint or ink, but for large mistakes or spills, its a redo or lots of white out and redrawing(luckly it doesnt happen offen).
Glad you enjoyed the inks!

White is bad stuff...I use White ink Acylic based for airbrushing or white arcylic paint. Most times it proveds a stuieable surface to re ink on. White out usally crubles under use of ink other than pen....ok for highing tho.
Well thier are quite a few ways, old school way is to use a nice sheet of tracing paper to do your inks on. New methods are scanning on the pencils and printing them in blueline, and ink over them but bluelines can repel ink which can cause headaches. Paper selection is key as well, good paper is well worth the time for inks like a good brush or a bottle of ink, tool can make your skills shine or suck.
Also bluelines can be printed on watercolor papers and such, britsol board is the common use for pencils and inks for the production of comics. Fine art wise i use both.
Nothing beats the orginal to work on but bluelines do have thier advantages tho...like haveing your own to sell or frame with out ever touching the orginal.
Hope this was some good insight.

SurfTiki In reply to sobiewan [2012-05-08 01:33:00 +0000 UTC]
This isnt out as far as i know but here in Vegas it was pasted around to all the comic shop as flyers. It had only Joe Mad!s pencils so i inked it, it was orginally 11x17" or so.
I should have a Juxapose image in my WIP and Progressions that has a large image os the orginal pencils if you want a copy.
