I've never seen Medusa depicted as a "red head" before, being one myself, I enjoy this very much. :]

Eyes and heads of the snakes are to die for! I also loved pegasus and didnt know that it born from Medusa's blood hitting the ocean. Beautiful symbolizing on that part too. And biiig fan of Greta Garbo, this is the most similar Medusa to what I've imagined her to be. Great job ^^

Since I was a child I loved Medusa. I thought that she was given the short end of the stick, and that she didn't deserve to die. Your picture of her is THE best painting I have ever seen of Medusa. Better than Boris Vallejo's Medusa, which is a feat indeed. Bravo, this might just be my next tattoo.

super, I like it a lot.
Imagine if instead of blending the white and orange together the horse would come out from a superb necklace (pearl) and the hair covers her blue (green would be awesome too) dress.
Excuse my suggestions and dreams, but I find your image very inspiring.

This is... simply stunning! And breathtaking! I can honestly say that it turned me to stone for a few minutes!
Things I love:
The way the snakes' eyes are the same as her eyes. It really gives the sense that the snakes are part of her, not just like a hat she's wearing; and it's a really creepy effect. Also, the way the snakes grow out of her scalp like actual strands of hair: same kind of effect.
The details of her face: the pale skin; the thin, highly arched eyebrows; the dark lips slightly curled almost in contempt. It really gave me a sense of surreal, serene, slightly severe beauty. If I remember the mythology right, Medusa was once a beautiful woman but she was cursed by the gods so that anyone who looked at her would turn to stone? Regardless, I think the face fits very well and it's a nice change to the typical, scaly, lizardy kind of Medusa.
Pegasus! What can I say, he looks brilliant. There's a real sense of movement, and power, and most of all *otherworld-liness* (if there's such a word!)... not like just a horse with wings stuck on; an actual, complete being, quite unlike anything else in the world.
Simply put, this is an amazing, amazing piece of work. I really can't get enough of it!
Couldn't follow the link to the contest; if it's not over yet I wish you all the best for it
