Back when the world lay unformed and under the rule of nature
two races emerged, marked by their mutual hatred.

They fought ceaselessly without rest, but neither would repress.

The cats begged at the heavens;
"We need a power to end this stalemate we've acquired!"
and so the felines were gifted with the might of terrestrial fire.

Then the vulpine begged in turn;
"Give us the power to rend them asunder!"
and so foxkind gained the might of heavenly thunder.

Before thinking if this will to fight was something internal,
they had put themselves into a standoff eternal.
