MMM LOOK WHO IT IS!!! my babies yokyu and hachi!!
i decided to draw when they first met!!
story time.... *rubs hands together*

  two boys, out walking on a rainy day.... it seems typical enough, right? less so when you find the luckiest and unluckiest people in the world, in the same place, at the same time. odds that are absolutely unheard of. yokyu, of course, was just trying to trudge home through a storm that seems to be following him. the storm clouds seemed to be mocking him with every roar of thunder. laughing at him. hachi, however, just wanted to take a walk. it doesn't matter if it's pouring rain. he never gets wet. in fact, he enjoys the tranquility of being able to watch storms unfold right before him.

  hachi doesn't usually pay mind to his surroundings. there's no need to. nothing to be wary of, nothing he'd consider interesting. yokyu, for whatever reason it may be, was an exception. it was hard to miss him in the midst of the rain, jacket weighed down with rainwater, struggling to keep hold of his splintering umbrella while the wind was tearing through it. it was always so hard for hachi to empathize with people like that. nothing went wrong for him, nothing at all. he hadn't a clue what it was like - to be unlucky.

  and yet, he decided to step towards the boy before him.

  yokyu had no knowledge of hachi's presence. he was too preoccupied with his umbrella at the time, and the hot tears burning the corner of his eyes. that is, until suddenly, the rain stopped, becoming white noise in his ears. well, not really. it still seemed to be pouring, but.. around him. him, and a stranger. a boy he'd never seen before was looming over him with eyes of the clearest blue he'd ever seen. with so much misfortune in his life, it was as though he had come face-to-face with an angel.

  maybe it was chance, an utter miracle, that these two had met. maybe it was fate. something meant to happen, written in the stars for lord knows how long. neither of them know. i don't know, either. regardless of the answer, regardless of everything that happened beforehand and everything that was to come, yokyu's face brightened with a jubilant smile, tears not ceasing to flow. between fervent giggles, he could only stammer three words to the stranger, whose name he didn't know, who he possessed an immense amount of gratitude for.

  "i'm so lucky!"
