this was supposed to go into the 'scraps' section, but i'm afraid it's here now
this was spontaneously taken when shooting girls will be girls, or more like after it. ^hesitation is very intuitive with poses so it's easy to work with her.
it's pretty cheap, like a simple horror video cover...but it makes me smile so..it works.
Q what do you use for blood?
A different types of fake bloods that i buy from a theatre supplies store, and brands such as Kryolan. and i find them good.

I absolutely love this picture! It makes me think of all the horror movies I've seen...
BUT... it's nice to see that you didn't do the typical gory-girl things such as over emphasizing the cleavage.
I love the border and the way it looks like she's coming out of the picture...

Just quick observations on this one:
a) What I find most interesting is how the mouth is almost hidden by the blood. The viewer's eye really has to "grope" in there to ferret out the mouth and therefore complete the expression. So anything that involves the viewer is generally good, and in this case, with plenty else to "see easily," the obscured mouth adds a nice "second phase" of perception/involvement.
b) VERY excellent job on the framing. It really holds up under scrutiny. (I know you're a details-whore like me, so wanted to let you know impressed I am.) I wonder if the bottom should be a few pixels upward to fit better with her hand?, but you might have made the better call - I'm not sure.
c) As much as I love all the foreground, I'm really quite taken with the pose of the legs to the rear too - that's a fabulous "secret weapon" to the coherence of the composition here, helps give the whole piece a very nice motion and lilt. And I don't think the result would pull off nearly so well if the background leg were in opposition (rather than sympathy) to the knife and forward arm.
d) Love the DOF. The hair. The (relatively understated) cleavage. And especially those eyes. And especially the DOF.
Anyway, since I'd gone ahead and taken a good look, just thought I'd let you know how much I found to love in this one!

But now, I was just browsing your gallery and it was suddenly apparent to me what you did with the framing - it is soooo good that she is "jumping" out of the frame. It totally fits the mood and brings an element of movement/life into this photo. Lots of respect, it's not an idea many people would think of, most would sit there and think "mmm, there's something that doesn't fit here" before realising that it'd look better the way you have done it.

anyway, this is cool! reminds me a bit of the movie "the ring" because of
her pose, ghehe. and I like the fact that at the bottem of the photograph,
on the place of her hand, that on that place lies some blood, because now
it seemes as if she's "pushing" into the ground, so it seems like she's
comming out of the computerscreen, fck, I can't explain it well, I hope you
get what I mean

I'm sure I've dreamed this one, except in my dream she was blonde, I guess thats what too many late nights watching B-Grade horro movies will do to you.
Her face to me looks vaguely satiated, but her eyes are seeking more, turned up and searching, always searching. It gives me that whole 'I want her yet I fear her' feeling, which feels just great!
