Description Something not so "typical" from me. A landscape/environment concept piece.

inspired me to do this ... yeah, I still remember the stuff I learned at that one course, it ist still in my brain.
I learned most of the hints and tricks I used there at an online course over at CGSociety. Was a really nice one.

Completely made in PS CS 6 with my Wacom Cintiq (4,5h). I used a reference for the rock structures.
Oh and there are two characters in the picture .

Thank you very much. I really like to paint water in my backgrounds, that is always a pleasure.

This is beautifully composed, even the tiny notification thumbnail immediately piqued my interest. Great use of contrast and scale. I feel like this could be somewhere from a movie, like Lord of The Rings.

That is nice to hear, it is good that the thumbnail is eyecatching, this is what I wanted to achieve. I always zoom out to see the picture very small and check on that while working on it (thumbnailing), I think that is really important.
Thank you very much!

Awesome! Ich muss sowas auch mal probieren! Mir gefallen solche Sachen total gut.

I think I would not be a good teacher in any way but I can really recommend online courses, they are really helpful.

Thanks very much.
I was thinking about adding some waterfalls on the sides also but I think it would have become too "friendly" looking then.

I need to practice that background stuff a bit more in the future, there are still structures I have big problems to create.

I love the mood, with the light flowing into the canyon, and the clear blue water below. Funny how I almost overlooked the dragon, even though it should be blindingly obvious.

Thank you very much.
The light should lead to the dragon there but yeah it is pretty small overall.
