And I read that you can keep the kappa away if you write your famly name on the cucumber and throw it into the area it lives. It won't then eat your children but it eats the cucumber.

it *does* make a bit more sense to think "holy sh...KAPPAS" than it does to think "oh, bipedal turtles born of semi-science and ninja training, I need a pizza to defend myself"

Omg, my OC Maggie is half-kappa, half-human, and reading your artist notes created an image in my head of Liz throwing a cucumber at her or at the very least using it as a shield. Maggie doesn't eat people, but that wouldn't stop her from using the offered vegetable in a salad.
