Description
This is my entry for the contest to come up with a fandom that the Starkids should tackle for their next musical. Despite there already being an awesome Buffy musical I think that the Starkids would create a totally awesome parody version. In my casting and descriptions of the characters, instead of going for seriousness and complete adherence to the world of Buffy, I took a more Starkid approach and stylized the characters based on my interpretation and love for them and their faults. Just a reminder so no one thinks that how I describe the characters is how I see them portrayed in the show, it’s how I see them parodied in…

STARKID BUFFY!
CAST
GILES- BRIAN HOLDEN (Playing Giles in a very Lupin-esque sort of way, he just wants those darn kids to pay attention long enough to actually kill vampires instead of just having sex with them.)
SPIKE- LAUREN LOPEZ (A lovesick-but-in-denial blonde Brit. Maybe I’m typecasting Lauren, but it would be adorable and hilarious, as usual. In love with Buffy, but with that damned Angel in the way, how will he be able to get his heart’s desire? [and a rocket ship?])
BUFFY- JOE WALKER (I considered casting Lauren as Buffy, which would have also been a perfect match since Buffy is tiny, but I wanted her as Spike, and I would love the hilarity of Buffy being played a huge muscular man who is probably able to lift another person over his head. And we all know what a wonderful woman Joe makes.)
ANGEL- DARREN CRISS (I decided to make Darren’s Angel narcissistic because he knows how hot and brooding he is, and being so distracted by himself he might not notice Spike’s attempts to woo his girl.)
XANDER- JOEY RICHTER (Buffy’s super fan and has a crush on her, remarkably similar to how Joey plays Ron’s bromance with Harry in AVPM. Ignorant of the huge crush that his other BFF, Willow, has on him because it weirds him out, she’s like his sister after all)
WILLOW- JAIME LYN BEATTY (Lovesick and optimistic. Buffy’s doofy-yet-killer-smart BFF who she has girl time with. Willow loves Xander, but when he doesn’t love her back she might just discover that boys just aren’t her thing.)

To make this picture pertain to Starkid and not just look like a weird piece of Buffy fan art I added elements of the actors’ past roles to help identify them (Lauren’s wig, Jaime’s shoes, Joey’s headband.)
