I feel this needed to be said, and ASAP.

Here We Go Again: Apparently the Government doesn't want to listen or care about the freedom of the internet. Typical, right? They're trying to keep bringing it back and trying to pass it once again. Here's a couple links to the petitions to Stop SOPA 2014. Anyone is able to sign it, even if you don't live in North America!

One More Time Update 2013: The petition has EXCEEDED the amount of signatures BEFORE September! While you don't have to sign it anymore, the bigger the fight against SOPA, the more impact we will have on the government. Let them know we want a free internet, and we vow to keep fighting to keep it that way.

Update Edit: In a recent journal, it brings up a much needed point. I suggest reading it and maybe tweeking the current petition/make a new one under the SOPA 201 name, so the legislation can target the problem we have with it. I know the current petition is about 75% into its goal, but it's vague on what we have issues with it. Again, read the journal to get more of an understanding on the issue. Youtube is still under some heavy threat by this.

URGENT UPDATE!!!: It turns out SOPA is back up on its feet, trying to pass AGAIN. This time, it's targeting sites like Youtube, Justin.tv and Twitch.tv. Don't know what that means? If you are streaming copyrighted content in a live video stream, you will be fined and sent to jail for YEARS. This MUST be stopped before September 21, otherwise this time, SOPA will win. So, what can YOU do? This; sign this Petition for greater good. It will also explain briefly what SOPA is targeting (from what I heard, they're still taking down sites wrongfully). So, take a couple minutes to sign it. You also don't need to be a US citizen to sign it either.

Update Again!: The people who originated this bill are trying to bring it back into the spotlight again. I think it's still under the same name of "SOPA". They think since we won, we have relaxed and have forgotten about it. Apparently, they haven't learned their lesson the FIRST time. So far, it's been pushed forward three times, only to have it pushed back three times, so they're obviously persistent. We're just gonna repeat the same process as before: wasting time and wasting money on a poorly worded bill. Right now, just keep an eye on it, and make sure it stays where it was originally put.

Update!: The government can't TAKE A HINT that SOPA/CISPA is a "poorly worded bill". It violates our 4th amendment, and it's not going to help anything, only hinder, if not hurt, us. Do whatever you can to tell your state rep (in a professional way, this is crucial), letter or e-mail, to please tell them NOT to pass the bill.

SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) is out to destroy our American Internet Freedom. If this bill passes, we will lose sites such as Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter. People who LP (Let's Play) games will also vanish (Chuggaaconroy, NintendoCapriSun, OctaneBlue, etc).
You can send a letter to your state representative, telling them to not pass this unfair bill. Or you can sign multiple petitions that are trying to stop this bill as well. Or you can do both.

In a nutshell, SOPA supporters want to control the internet. And what's the root to all of this? Money. They have been distributing the downloadable software so you can download music, moves, TV shows, etc. Now, they're turning around and gonna sue those downloaders for thousands of dollars. Is this fair? No. It's called GREED, one of the seven deadly sins. So if you don't wanna get your ass sued, fight back this greedy and corrupt bill. Don't believe me?
