The sky is so impressive, writhing with colour and power. No wonder the little man is so overawed, standing alone, at the mercy of the heavens...

You paint too?? This is fantastic.. I could stare at it for hours and let my mind wander.. the darkness at the top and sharp whisps of cloud pointing down make it kinda ominous and threatening, and there are just so many different ways of thinking about this... excellent. The only bit of criticism I have (I had to search for SOMEthing negative to say, since it says 'advanced' critique encouraged, it was hard to find) is the middle bit, between the two blues. I would've done it more... something. Either more sharply defined and spirally and curling or more blurred, less defined. But that's kind of a silly criticism, great painting.

Wow. A really striking piece of work. The color choices especially work well: deep, ruddy orange-reds contrasting with turquoise. The tiny, silhouette of a figure, spotlighted and confronted by the voluminous, roiling form before him, seems overwhelmed and encompassed by something so much bigger than himself - and the figure realizes this.

I like this. I enjoy the emotions conveyed by the colors and dimensions. I also like how the person is in a spotlight that pulls all the rest of the picture together. It even seems that his strength is drawing the mountains down to him, melting them before his will. This is a very strong picture that creates a feeling of inspiration and power in me. Thank you for sharing it.

Wow, that's pretty big, I bet it looks great in person! I like the colors you used and the little man. Are those mountians? Like he's overcomming obstacles?
