Okay, this is probably the most morbid comic I've done aside from the Dutchman crew throwing their hands at the first mate.And Pacha thought he had problems with the emperor before....

OK, a little historical correctionΒ
This type of sacrifice was mostly preformed by the Aztecs and MayaΒ
Cuzco is supposed in be Inca (both his clothes and name suggest an Inca origin), and the Inca used poison as a preferred tool of sacrifice (they also used willing victims, who'd drink the poison themselves), alto the Emperor still played a major role in these ritualsΒ

I highly doubt Kuzco likes doing that. Probably would hate getting his "handsome" hands dirty. Yzma would probably be more than happy to do so however.

besides, the fact that something is animated does not mean it's automatically geared towards kids.
look up films like Watership Down, Akira, heavy Metal, etc

Back in the 20's, animation was geared toward the general audience. No patronization or condescension, just pure fun.
But somehow people got to thinking that animation was only for children's enjoyment and it went downhill from there.
