I know, the humor is in the uncharacteristic-ness for the character.

OK, a little historical correctionΒ
This type of sacrifice was mostly preformed by the Aztecs and MayaΒ
Cuzco is supposed in be Inca (both his clothes and name suggest an Inca origin), and the Inca used poison as a preferred tool of sacrifice (they also used willing victims, who'd drink the poison themselves), alto the Emperor still played a major role in these ritualsΒ

Nice! I feel much smarter.Β I like historical facts.
Although for a quick/cheep joke that would be a bit complex to implement.
He'd be standing there with a smiling guy on an alter waving a bottle of poison over him. That wouldn't be very idiot proof. XD XD

I highly doubt Kuzco likes doing that. Probably would hate getting his "handsome" hands dirty. Yzma would probably be more than happy to do so however.
Anyhow--this is hillarious!

this was just for laughs you know.
besides, the fact that something is animated does not mean it's automatically geared towards kids.
look up films like Watership Down, Akira, heavy Metal, etc

Jester-of-the-Clown In reply to El-Rey-Chipinque [2012-08-25 13:40:59 +0000 UTC]
Uhhhh...no shit?
Back in the 20's, animation was geared toward the general audience. No patronization or condescension, just pure fun.
But somehow people got to thinking that animation was only for children's enjoyment and it went downhill from there.
