Sooooo guess what I've seen four times already!Megamind! It's like the best movie to come from Dreamworks since How to Train your Dragon, seriously this movie like kicked HTTYD out of first place of best animated movies in my book.
No. Joke. No. Lie. XD
Megamind, absolutely best villain evar... Next to Gru of course...I didn't forget about that loveable oaf! XD But seriously guys, GO SEE THIS MOVIE! It'll rock your socks off hard core. I was like blown away by this movie.
I thought it was blasphemous not to have him in my gallery so I drew him! At first I had his cloak around him, but he moves around to much to be fully covered by his cape, so I put my determination hat on and drew his out fit!
Just a rough sketch, I'm still trying to sort out his outfit, but I still think it's awesome!
Also don't laugh at my version of his Dehydration gun...I hate drawing guns...but I do love that gun. I believe that his dehydration gun is equivalent to Gru's Freeze Ray because Megamind keeps it on him at all times...save for when he's in his p.j.'s which I want btw! XD I love those devil looking house shoes. XD
I'll quit babbling here pretty soon...maybe...
ANYWAY! GO TO SEE THIS MOVIE YOU MUST! OR MISS OUT YOU WILL INDEFINITELY!

ussually I like characters (mean villain of corse) who looks unussual but as for me at the movie MM body build is an unballanced enough to make me feel bit iritated about it, from the other side there are situations where on film he looks more unballanced than in other scenes where he don't ...XD

Yea! You liked this movie, too! I do think that it has a special place for those who love comic books and super hero cartoons. There are so many references in there that only comic geeks would get, but we need a movie that pays homage to a genre we love.
I am glad you drew the fellow. He reminds me of Hiccup in so many ways, differing mainly because he was pushed down the "evil" path because everyone assumed he was bad so he guessed it was all he was good at.

I was wondering if you'd seen it too! :3 I love that they did that, how he was slowly pushed toward being evil, then slowly pushed back! XD I love the depth of his character and his personality reminds me of a lot of my friends are, eccentric and in your face. XD
I know when he defeated Metro Man I couldn't help but be reminded of Hiccup when he struck down the Night Fury. He accomplished something that he didn't think possible. Only everyone witnessed Megamind doing it...then in the end they regret doing so. XD
I wanted to draw him soooo baaaad! He was such an amazing character to me! He is just so expressive and you can feel what he's feeling by how he holds himself. :3

Yeh, you draw Megamind very well- I like that look in his eyes. He wants to be badass here, but there is a bit of humor and boyish kindness that slipped through. He just does not know that... yet.
That's a good analogy about the Night Fury. Certainly Megamind did not have a clue how to be an evil overlord because it is not in him- I loved his comment that his reign would be the most horrible thing you could imagine multiplied by six
I love in that scene, they showed Megamind and Roxanne coverd in ash and burns from the explosion. The movie was not afraid to get gritty like that= not easy to do in animation. The scenes where Megamind wound up getting kicked down by Tighten/Titan and then being in torn up clothes for a good part of the movie- that was some attention to detail you don't see in animation.
I do admit, HTTYD still is higher in my heart than Megamind (maybe because of my love of horses and how the Hiccup/Toothless bond is really a Viking Black Stallion story- and there is so much heart in the movie). But Megamind was a really good movie and showing Dreamworks can make some thoughtful movies with heart instead of underwear jokes.

That's what I love about him, he is trying so hard to be evil, but he's not really. He's just a goof ball.
Hehe thanks, I thought about that when I saw it for the second time. XD Yeah I don't really think that he intended for people to be hurt, he just wanted to accomplish something that he didn't think possible and after enjoying the high for a little bit wears off and leaves you with nothing to do.
Yeah I know, The ash on their face and the rips in his cloths was very good detail. XD I love how they add that in there...that and I also loved how Roxanne's hair didn't stay perfect all the time. When it got flipped out of place, it stayed out of place until like the next day. Or when she decided to fix it! The really did do a good job paying attention to the detail like that. :3
I haven't really lost my love of HTTYD. It's still connected to me in away no other movie has, but Megamind just kind of rocketed forward with it's awesomeness, it's emotional scenes, it's attention to detail, and depth of the characters. XD It is a comical/action/drama animated movie. XD
