When first met, Cyana comes off as sweet and innocent, but it's just a trick. Cyana is full of Sass and snark, and if she doesn't like you she'll make it known (unless she's trying to get something out of you). The only people Cyana truly likes are the crew of Noirr's ship, but she will sass them without blinking an eye.

Cyana had been placed by the control brains as a cargo pilot, shipping items back and forth between planets. During part of her off time, she happened to stop at a port for a drink, and there she met Noirr. Noirr bought Cyana drinks, and after hearing that the smaller Irken was a pilot who dreamed of bigger things than flying cargo too and from, the Pirate offered Cyana a position as pilot of the Star Siren. It didn't take long for Cyana to agree, and from there she never looked back.
