Description The Corpse Flower or Titan Arum. It took this plant 13 years to bloom at the Cleveland Zoo. It has the aroma of rotting flesh. It is about five feet tall and three feet wide.

By the time we got there, (it took going to the zoo three days in a row) the smell had just about completely disapated.

I can say from personal experiance that those flowers realllly stink lol, but not as badly as my puppy!

We went to the zoo three days in a row just to get this picture! It had bloomed early in the morning and by the time I was able to get there the 'fragrance' had somewhat dissipated. Also a zoo membership helped with admissions.

Yeah, and the bloom only lasts for about 36 hours!

All that time to bloom & it doesn't last very long. That is a bummer, well except for the smell & then it's probably a good thing.
