you know those orchids they sell at every grocery store?a while ago orchids were still special and you couldn't find them except in some specialty flower store...
well.. they make for a good gift.. and so i have some of these plants.. so far i managed to kill about two of them over a period of over five years..
and now - finally - i got one to bloom again.
usually they just drop their blossoms after a few weeks with me and start their life as boring green-leafed something...
well.. as it happens.. clumsy me broke the stem with the blossoms off whilst "looking" at it (didn't your mom ever tell you that looking is only with the eyes? pff!)

nope, the labellum (tongue or whatever you call it in english) looks kinda like a phalaenopsis. but the overall shape doesn't look like one
if you want to join the club, maybe my friends will be able to identify it
