LONG AGO, IN A DISTANT LAND...I mean, uh, a long time ago I drew yet another anime style girl. Recently I redrew her. Here is the redraw, aptly mimicking the original drawing's title.(^o^)

Thank you very much! Since I was working in a different scale and on different paper, I guess I used a different technique, and I think this will have interesting effects on my art in the future.

#2 If I may suggest, you can also practice drawing in straight lines lightly and then darkening the lines once you're satisfied with you're work~
But if you already know this then just refer to #1 *giggles*

I'm not really sure what you mean by straight lines, but I pretty much always draw with overly curved lines!(^o^) I appreciate advice, though, so feel free to give me tips! If I can improve my drawings, I'm always open to suggestions.

The shaky lines are called "chicken lines" hahaha. When I meant by straight lines, I meant by drawing in single strokes from your pencil. Plus a little studying of anatomy can correct whatever you need to fix if you're copying a pose or a base, or from your own imagination.
You see. The common mistake of us silly artists is that we think our work is finished even when it isn't because in reality there is something lacking. I used to have those errors. My professor told me to never be contented with just an unfinished work because it stops you from unlocking your true potential~
So yeah. Keep those lines straight please

Hmm... It'd be easier to do a line over in this one if it were in pencil, but sadly, this drawing is in pen. No do overs. But straight lines don't really work when drawing a person; unless it's done artificially, people do not have straight lines. People are curvy. I think what you mean, though, is maybe smooth/continuous lines? I think what you're saying is like how my lines have a lot of split ends, right?
The way I look at my drawings is that they're all a work in progress, a sort of practice. My skill level constantly changes, so I constantly challenge myself. A lot of my drawings are simply to keep my mind occupied, or to take up time when I'm on break at work, and this is an example of that. To be honest, I didn't have anything in mind when I was drawing this, I just started drawing.(^-^)
