I got them as scraps from my highschool teacher....but you can get them from hardware stores (Like Bunnings if you live in Australia *u*). I think MDF if usually sold as big pieces at various thickness but you can get them cut down to size and stuff with some hardware tools (If it's a small piece of MDF and not too thick, I sometimes use a handsaw + sandpaper)

This is a great picture, you have an amazing technique.
to me, it makes me think of a bride who decides not to marry in the last minute of the wedding... doves usually represent peace and there is smoke in the background at the bottom of the picture so perhaps there is a war story behind the woman. maybe she was abducted and her husband is rescuing her on their wedding day by killing her captores. idk. so many stories. I can't even start on the clocks.

To me, the bird looks like a sacrifice for something. And all the clocks keep reminding us that we're running out of time.
Also, the bird may be a reflection/representation of the girl.
I don't know really! Such a complex picture! It really catches the eye tho!

What do I think?
I think that this girl looks kinda sad, but wants to be loved. Thats why her head arrangment looks like a bride to be. And the clock means that the time is ticking. As if people only have so long to live.
But then the craps means that her day dreaming has come to an end.
The Bird, it look slike a Dove to me, and reminds me of of the symbol of weddings or, peace. Ya know?
So the cracking of the clock and the falling bird is falling mack into reality.
Idk. It was the first thing that came to mind. (:

i think it means that the girl in the picture is thinking about time and worrying that maybe it will go on with out her or maybe she is afraid of death but what i think it is ill break it down. a dove is a representation of love and since its falling past clocks and its bleeding i think there is a fear that a relationship wont last, so yeah amazing pic by the way my name is shadow heh

as i said to the people who commented on this, when you marry someone you and your partner should actually feel more free and feel you can attain/achieve anything because you have that special person with you. you shouldn't feel locked up, it should be the opposite!
the way i see it, marriage should make your soul/heart/being feel freedom and joy and not the feeling of being tied to or weighted down by the person, that's just silly!

oh and to me, this is what it means:
you're fulfilling someone else's dream while ignoring yours and you inadvertently hide in a mask, a facade of happiness with sorrow in the underlying reality of it all... you could say somewhat, that it was a marriage doomed to fail from the start but out of love and sincerity to give that person joy in their life, you did it selflessly and inevitably, time will eat away and if matters are not changed or deviate from where they are currently heading, your soul, your being will die like the dove below...
and to me, that is what i see in this powerful image.
