I love the lighting on the bells, how some are in full light and others are hidden mostly in the shadows. I admire the flames on the candles. I adore the texture on the candle furthest back.

Amazing.

Nonsense! I'm just stating the truth. I really do enjoy the picture.

Although, I do admit that my comments do tend to come off extremely positive and sometimes seem like I'm sucking up. But the truth is that the comment is probably very tame compared to the comments my parents hear as I go through people's galleries xD

You're welcome!

Cliche in a good way though. Your still life shots have a very commercial quality to them which is good I think. If it were a diamond necklace, Rolex, etc. I could definitely see this being used around Christmas time. Maybe with some holly in front of the candles.

That's very nice to hear! I think you're quite right, however for commercial purposes it would be a lot more vivid. I don't really know the words right now but what i mean is that there would be a lot more to see in the picture other than just candles and a product.
What do you mean by holly?

From Wikipedia:

In many western cultures, holly is a traditional Christmas decoration, used especially in wreaths.

No problem. In ancient history it was also symbolical for fertility. Same with mistletoe, which is why people started kissing underneath it during the winter solstice.

So you've read the whole wikipedia-page?

Cheers

Actually I read that online last week when researching the similarities between old pagan traditions and Christianity. Cool stuff.

Ah okay, so you're really interested in those kind of things. Cool! Was the research done just for yourself or for study, work, etc?

I have been doing my own religious research since 8th grade when I realized there are no gods. I still find it fascinating from a historical, societal, and mental standpoint.

Yes it is very interesting, and there are many fascinating aspects in theology. Are you doing your research with an end goal (maybe a book or report) or just for your own knowledge?

It's suprising how many atheist study theology!

It might sound negative, but one of the main reasons I study is so I can debate better with believers. Often times they know very little about their own religion and it helps me, "the bad person", to be able to explain certain thing. I do keep up with scientific reading too though because that always helps.

You don't sound negative at all, i totally agree and i do the same. However i try to avoid discussion in some occasions because a lot of believers are not going to give in anyway. They seem to think that they're not bound to use arguments which are actually based on something like.. proof, or facts.
