Just testing the waters here for my sorta/semi-serious 'homebrew' chapter, the Thorned Roses (working title) for the 40k setting. Conceived before the whole 'Custodes Controversy' as an attempt/challenge for me to try and think up how a majority-female Space Marine chapter could look... or work.If there's interest, will do more of a deeper 'dive' into this chapter, which originates from a fringe planet that borders on hellworld/deathworld where, due to severe environmental conditions, purposeful 'medication priorities', and possible (female) Primarch intervention... the best candidates for transformation into Space Marines... in the end... were the amazonian-esque females.
Said planet is only considered due to traces of said missing primarch (so far called 'Artemisia'), and the fact that said planet has some special metals that get mined and processed for creation of more specialized armor that you see Custodes and Primarchs, and other higher-ups wearing.
So a little... test... a little... appetizer... or 'amuse bouche' of the basic concept... see if there's even remotely any interest.
